Wedding and Event Flowers

Our 25-acre organic flower farm is the heart and soul of our design business. It’s where we find our inspiration (and flowers!) for your seasonal, sustainably-minded event. Using 100% flowers grown and foraged on our Hudson Valley farm promises that your wedding or event flowers are unique to your special day and place, and you can expect that unexpected touch that only the fields can provide.

We have options to suit every event and every budget. As we’re musicians-turned-farmers we still tend to think of everything in musical terms.  Naturally we think of our different event options in the same way! For more information on any of our options, get in touch!

The Composer

Instrumentation, tempo, dynamics, melody and mood…a composer works out every detail of the score before a big performance. The musicians are rehearsed and prepared, and the piece sounds out perfectly, exactly as the composer envisioned it.

With this full-service design option you’ll find your voice in farm-grown flowers and we’ll bring your unique vision to life, right down to the last detail. Through an organized series of in-person and phone consultations, we’ll guide you through the planning steps with a goal of keeping things easy and focused. We provide delivery, installation, and breakdown services for our ‘composer’ couples. ‘Composer’ wedding packages start at $6,500.

The Improvisor

Years of study, practice, and performance – an improviser endlessly sharpens their tool-set.   Listening deeply and spontaneously responding to the musical environment, they create something new, beautiful, and exciting in real time.

With this streamlined, budget-saving option, you choose the style and color palette from a given list, tell us the numbers you need, and set us loose to choose and design the best and most beautiful farm-grown flowers for your wedding day. This is a great option for couples who are more set on an abundance of seasonal blooms than on custom design, or who just don’t like making all the decisions. Simplified options and minimal consultation make this a time and money saver, and please note that while delivery service is offered, set-up and breakdown services are not available for this option. Our ‘Improviser’ couples generally spend between $1500 and $5000.

Third Stream

The controlled precision of an exacting composer or the untethered abandon of a true improviser, the ‘Third Stream’ embodies each of these elements. Some passages are notated precisely while other musical elements are left to the discretion of the performer.

Our third stream option allows you the freedom to choose the level of hands-on involvement you’re comfortable with, and to order some of the more involved pieces (such as a bridal bouquet) from us to keep things manageable on your big day.  Third stream packages often include a combination of ‘DIY’ and ‘By the Piece’ items.

Do It Yourself (D.I.Y) Buckets – Order an appropriate mass quantity of flowers and arrange your centerpieces with the help of your own dedicated team of friends! Click here to learn about our DIY flower and foliage bucket details and see if this fun option may be right for you.

By the piece – If you’re looking to do your own wedding flowers but would prefer not to take on some of the more technical pieces (like a bridal bouquet!) this option may be for you.  Just need a bouquet and boutonniere? A flower crown or a few corsages? Contact us and request our “A la Carte menu” to choose from many items to help you nail the flowers on your big day.

So here it is Friday afternoon, and the sweet peas and snapdragons are in the germination chamber. Talk about procrastination, talk about small victories 🙌
