Spring Arranging for Mother’s Day

Making your own flower arrangement for (or with!) your mom is going to earn you way more points than just buying her flowers! In this hands-on class, learn tips and tricks for creating an arrangement of seasonal, locally grown spring flowers and foliage, straight from the farm. There is nothing like spring on a flower farm – the gorgeous colors and heady scents of May flowers are downright intoxicating! Be surrounded with spring blooms and give yourself (and mom) a taste of this magical time on the farm. Flowers and vases are provided and you’ll take your creation home with you.
Seasonal Flower Focus: Peonies
Sunday, June 7, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, $125
With their knockout beauty and delicious scent, it’s no wonder that peonies are known as the Queen of Garden Flowers. In this class, learn tips on how to take care of peonies in your own garden, how to harvest peonies for excellent vase life, and how to store stems for use weeks later! Then, make an arrangement using gorgeous farm-grown peonies, paired with other June-blooming flowers and foliage, in a vase to take home.
The Summer Wildflower Look
Sunday, June 21, 10:30 – 12:30, $85
The wildflower look has been one of the most popular in floral design for several seasons now…but what does it mean? Look up images of ‘wildflower arrangements’ and you’ll find vases full of peonies and florist roses that don’t evoke any of the romance of a wild field or pasture. But use only true wildflowers gathered from roadside or meadow and you may wonder if you’ve just got a vase full of weeds! In this hands-on workshop, we’ll use farm-grown flowers and true foraged wildflowers to navigate that fine line between wild and weedy! Materials and vases are supplied, and you’ll take your creation home with you.
DIY Wedding Intensive
Saturday, July 11, 10 am – 1:30 pm, $150
If you’ve booked or are thinking about booking DIY buckets for your summer or fall wedding, this workshop is for you! Each participant will start the workshop with an actual DIY bucket full of focal flowers, accent flowers, and foliage, and then use those flowers to create a centerpiece, a bridal bouquet, and a boutonniere. Tiny Hearts owner and lead designer, Jenny Elliott, will walk you through each piece, step by step, ensuring that you feel confident to do-it-yourself for your big day! She’ll share tips and techniques for designing your flowers, such as how to get the most out of a DIY bucket and how to ribbon wrap a bouquet. We’ll talk, hands-on, about how many buckets you might need for your wedding, how to store and transport them, and you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions specific to your wedding.
All supplies needed for the class will be provided, and you’ll take your arrangements home with you. You’ll also be able to book DIY buckets after class, and to purchase vases, clippers, ribbon, and any other floral supplies you’ may need for your wedding flowers.
