We’ll be holding our seedling sale this May, offering cut flower varieties that are hard to come by at garden centers or nurseries. We started poppies (like these ‘Amazing Grey’!), butterfly snapdragons, and larkspur today. Swipe to see my littlest helper topping the trays with vermiculite 💘

Our potting soil is not quite frozen through, which leads to two bright sides: I can still dig what I need out of the center of the totes...and George gets a “dirt house” with a “dirt bed” where he can make “dirt breakfast.” Win win.

Ranunculus are getting planted out today, into a minimally heated greenhouse. They were supposed to go out last week but we decided to wait until that mega-cold spell passed. They’ll get planted, irrigated, and covered with hoops and blankets today and tomorrow, then we’ll hopefully see very early spring flowers!

The gargantuan task of dividing our dahlia tubers has been underway for a month now, carefully overseen by the awesome plant ladies behind @lu_na_bloomsherbs. We are so grateful to have their help this winter and are getting close to launching our online tuber shop. Stay tuned!
