Dried Quaking Grass

$15.00

An unusual, fluffy cloud of texture…this is what my California-born self calls ‘Rattlesnake Grass,’ although the version I grew up with had much bigger heads. These bunches stand alone, but could be wonderful mixed with other flowers.

Important! Please read!

Curbside pickup will be at the Tiny Hearts Farm flower shop in Hillsdale, NY, between 11am and 4pm on Friday or Saturday, and the order deadline is 12 noon on Thursday. When you check out, you’ll be asked to choose a pick-up day. We’ll have your pre-ordered flowers ready for you either outside in the parking lot (conditions permitting) or inside our shop if it’s warm or inclement weather.  An attendant will be present to assist you or to bring out your flowers and all interactions will be open air and contact free.  We’re unable to allow customers to enter the flower shop for any reason at this time, and we ask that you keep at least a six foot distance from our staff members and other customers.  Thank you for understanding.

We’ve been inundated with inquiries about flower availability  and are so appreciative of everyone’s interest and grateful for the support! Since we’re just two people running the farm right now (at a time when we would usually be a team of 8!), the farm is demanding nearly all our attention. We won’t be able to respond to special requests or inquiries at this time – thank you for understanding!

Championship lisianthus cutters Maria and Gladis…so in tune with the flowers their clothes even match them 💕
We’ve re-introduced a few crops this season that We’ve re-introduced a few crops this season that we grew back in the day but took a break from for one reason or another (mostly just to make room to try other flowers)!
We’re thoroughly enjoying having these ‘Bright Lights’ cosmos again, and they’re bringing back all kinds of memories from our early days of flower farming! I remember my flower mentor, Mary Lou, teaching me the right cutting stage and how, while each individual flower only lasts a couple of days, a properly cut stem will last the whole week. And how, in the first couple years that we did farmers markets, our most popular bouquets were made of bright lights cosmos, blue bedder salvia, and lemon basil and they smelled so good.
Also, as a proud orange lady, these are my very favorite color and I don’t know how I did without them for so long!
Surprise! We have so many DAHLIAS @tinyheartsflowe Surprise! We have so many DAHLIAS @tinyheartsflowershop today! Looking out over the beds it looked like we’d get a few bunches but when the crew got I to it there were loads of beauties!

Instead of growing several types of cosmos in one Instead of growing several types of cosmos in one row, we’re doing full 400’ beds of just 2 varieties per succession. It must make the cosmos feel special, because they’re really putting on a show.
